MiiHealth AI, a digital health startup developing DAINA (Dynamic AI Intake and Navigation Agent), an agentic AI medical assistant purpose-built to automate patient intake and follow-up, has announced the closing of a $2.8 million seed funding round led by Russell Glass, former CEO of Headspace and founder of Arteria Capital.
The round includes participation from a group of physician angels, healthcare operators, and digital health founders.
Commenting on the fundraise, Kelvin Summoogum, founder and CEO of MiiHealth AI, said: “This raise fuels our next chapter: a more trustworthy clinical Agent, deeper roots across 70% of the country’s EHR landscape, and a market position that sets a new standard for what AI-driven care looks like.”
MiiHealth AI said the seed funding will be used to expand engineering and AI teams to advance its product capabilities.

MiiHealth AI directly competes with many VC funded and established digital patient engagement companies. More recently, AI-powered digital patient engagement startup, Assort Health raised $120 million in Series C funding led by Menlo Ventures at a $1.2 billion valuation.
In another deal, Prosper AI, a developer of voice AI agents to automate patient scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claims without much human intervention, raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).
