OmicsBank has raised $2.25 million in seed funding from Redesign Health to build next-generation clinical data infrastructure.
With fresh seed funds, OmicsBank plans to accelerate deployment of its clinical data infrastructure platform that turns fragmented, unstructured clinical records into standardized, de-identified, patient-level datasets that research and AI systems can query directly.
OmicsBank is expanding its business beyond Asia, including the U.S. and the Middle East, while growing relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and AI companies. The startup is also building GPU-enabled research environments for AI model training, reinforcement learning environments, biomarker discovery, real-world evidence, and other computational biology research.
Founded in 2025 by Sumit Sinha and Vijay Goel, OmicsBank is serving 90 hospitals and diagnostic labs in Asia.
Why it matters
Global drug development and healthcare AI rely heavily on clinical and genomic datasets from the U.S. and Europe, leaving some of the world’s largest populations significantly underrepresented in the evidence used to develop drugs, identify biomarkers, and train medical AI.
India alone accounts for nearly 20% of the world’s population, and South Asian countries represent nearly 25% of the world’s population, yet they account for approximately 2% or less of participants in large-scale global genomic research.
Digital health startups, including AI-powered clinical data startups, secured more than $15 billion in VC funding in the 1H (first half) of 2026.
More recently, QuantHealth, a provider of an AI-driven clinical trial simulation platform, has raised $45 million in a Series B round led by Qumra Capital.
In another deal, Century Health, a health technology startup developing an AI-powered platform to unlock high-quality datasets from fragmented and siloed clinical information to fuel groundbreaking research, raised $5 million in a Seed round led by Origin Ventures.
