SkinBit Raises $6M to Launch Its AI-Powered Full-Body Skin Cancer Screening System

SkinBit, a developer of an AI-driven full-body skin cancer scanning platform, announced a $6 million pre-seed round to bring twenty-minute, full-body skin cancer scanning technology to clinics and wellness centers in the U.S.

Boost VC, Cleo Capital, Manna Ventures, Profluent Capital co-led the investment round with participation from angel investors including Lyft co-founder Logan Green, and nine board-certified dermatologists.

In the last five years, every major health category has been transformed by continuous, data-driven monitoring: blood panels by Function Health, cardiovascular health by Apple Watch, sleep by Oura Ring, gut health by Viome.

Skin — the body’s largest organ, and its most exposed — has remained the exception. SkinBit is closing that gap, and building a compounding data asset in the process: as the scan network grows, the longitudinal dataset improves accuracy and deepens the company’s clinical value.

Launch & Rollout Goals: Three locations in 2026, fifteen by the end of 2027, and more than 20 in active pipeline discussions — and more than 5,000 people already on the waitlist.

SkinBit is a preventative health and skin-imaging startup based in Los Angeles, California. SkinBit was founded in 2023 by melanoma survivor Jonathan Benassaya, previously founder of Deezer, CPO at Life360, and Senior Director of product management at Meta.
